hello from Prague! Taking my first trip outside of Vienna and I am here for 4 days. Today was our second day here and I am enjoying it. The weather is cold and rainy which is a bummer but it is suppose to be sunny on Tuesday so fingers crossed.
Prague has such a different culture than Vienna even though it is only a 5 hour drive away. Things I have noticed so far
1. Graffiti everywhere. Even on nice buildings, doors, cathedrals it doesn’t matter
2. Cobblestone streets are everywhere and I have yet to see a paved road
3. The food is so good! Look at the pictures to get a look, but everything I have tried has been really good.
4. Smoking is sadly still very present here
5. In Vienna it is more grand, cosmopolitan, prestigious, and fancy while Prague is more medieval, rough, and bare bones.
Highlights
1. Toured the Prague castle- very medevil and different than the a schonbrunn palace. It was quite bare and wish I would have gotten the audio guide to better understand what I was seeing!
2. Walked around old town
3. Ate amazing food! Goulash bread bowl at a medevil restaurant from 1384, a tasty sugar churro thing, and more traditional Czech food!
4. Went to a jazz pub
5. Saw the famous clock tower and went to the top
