Another beautiful place in Italy covered as I took a day trip from Milan to go to Lake Como today! It was beautiful out and I may never leave Italy! Me and another girl I met in the Cinque Terre hostel took the 8:20 train the day into Varenna. We then took a ferry to the small town of Belliago. Both were beautiful and now I can understand why George Cloony has a house here! If I could afford it I would have another house here too!
We spent the day walking around the paths, taking a nap in the sun, and visiting the most beautiful botanical garden. You can even see Switzerland in the distance. I must say visiting Italy in the off season is the way to go because it was like having the entire town to ourselves! The only downside is that a lot of the restaurants are closed, but definetly worth not dealing with annoying tourists! Tonight I am taking the 14 hour night train back to Vienna. I will then be able to go through the masses of pictures I took on my camera! Fingers crossed the train is mostly empty again like last time. Then , off to Slovakia on Friday to get my Visa figured out! Love and miss you all!
