Austrian Alps

Hallstatt-Monday

So I heard about Hallstatt on Pinterest-classic I know. It is a small town in Austria with 900 residents that sits on a lake in the mountains and is beautiful. I took a train ride there from salzberg with 60 Asian tourists. I was the only white person haha and it turns out they made a copy of Hallstatt in China and that is why their were so many Asian tourists. Anyways, once to Hallstatt the train station consisted of a small shed and you have to take a ferry to cross the lake that comes every 15 minutes. Throughout the day I walked around enjoying the finally sunny weather and taking pictures. The Asian tourists even asked if I would be in their pictures which was quite strange like why would they want a picture with me in it? They also had cats throughout the town which were quite friendly. The cats came up to me and wanted to be petted and loved which made me love the town even more. Overall, a beautiful town that I would highly recommend for a day trip.

Innsbruck-Tuesday

Innsbruck is in the middle of the alps, the 5th largest city in Austria and also home to the winter olympics years ago. The day consisted of walking around the old town, going to the zoo, and riding to the top of the mountain. The zoo was animals from the mountains such as bears, goats, birds, moose etc and was fun even though it was all vertical since it was on the mountain. After the zoo we took a train-like vehicle and then 2 gondolas to the top. Once at the top I took tons of pictures and had Austrian chocolate cake at the restaurant overlooking the entire view. It was also interesting to see the crazy skiers and the steep cliffs they went off of. The place to be if you love skiing or even just beautiful mountain views. Tomorrow I am going to the Innsbruck Castle and then off to Munich! Miss you all and thanks for reading!
