Cloudy with a Chance of Museums

The weekend was again spent exploring all of the wonders that Wien has to offer! I started the weekend by making the trek to Primark which is similar to forever 21 but cheaper. It is about an hour from my residence taking 2 metros and a bus but well worth the 5€ clothes since I have been wearing the same outfits for 3 months and it is kind of getting old!

Friday was cloudy so my roommate and I decided to go to the famous art museum! It was beautiful on the inside, but I must say I am not a big fan of renissance art. To many old portriats, naked people, and dull colors. It was #2 for vienna on tripadvisor so I am glad I at least saw it for myself. Afterwards, we went to a cat cafe in the city center. It was fun to have a coffee and chit chat while getting a kitty fix since i am away from my kitties at home. We then walked around the city and got gelato.

Saturday I got up and decided to go to nashtmarkt since I haven’t been since the first or second week in vienna. It was a bad choice with it being with a public holiday on Friday and it was crazy busy with people. Long story short I only lasted 15 minutes. I met up with a friend from class and we went to Prater park for a music fest. They had a several bands and had an hour of free rides. We had a great time on the bumper cars, go karts, giant slide, and haunted houses. Aferwards, I headed over to Danube islands and just walked around for a few hours. When I got back to my apartment we had a fun night in with my roommates eating Italian food and just talking. Also, Saturday alone I gave directions to 2 different people around Vienna so I am really starting to feel like a local.

Friends!

Sunday fun day! Today is the first Sunday of the month which also means free museums. The weather kept chaning it’s mind but we ended o making the long trip out to see the Hermesvilla which is a palace of Sisi given from Joseph. Unfortunately the entire building was under construction so it was kind of a bust but at least we got out of the city for the morning. The feast of the day was spent on homework, chilling, and trip planning. I am also preparing myself for 9 hour marathon of classes tomorrow! Thanks for reading everyone
