With such a nice beach day yesterday I decided to try out a different beach today. This beach is only an hour from Rome, just not as quaint. I said goodbye to my mom as she leaves for Minnesota and where I will be in less than 2 weeks ahhh!
After moving to my hostel I went to the train station to board direct to the Santa marinella beach. I was speeding through the station and literally watched as the train pulling away. I missed it by 30 seconds… If I have to miss a train while in exchange this one is a good one to miss! I only had to wait another hour for the next one.😊
The beach was nice but I still prefer sperlonga! After getting back from the beach I went to gioletti for some amazing gelato!
I love the beach escapes since rome isn’t my favorite city. It is so dirty with trash just litering the streets. The metro is so busy since the only place the lines cross is at the train station. I love the history but with so many people and the construction it is hard to appreciate it all. Here is to one more day exploring Rome before Vienna and my trip to croatia! Thanks for reading everyone!
