Crushing Croatia

My last day in Rome consisted of walking around, seeing some more sites and eating more gelato because when in Italy! I had a quick turnaround in Vienna of less than 15 hours until I left for Croatia! I did all my washing hoping to get rid of the nasty bed bugs we picked up at a hotel in Italy and repack everything! Fast forward to today and enjoying croatia!

We took a bus to Zagreb and walked around the city seeing most all of the city in a day! Nothing to exciting except the cheap prizes and quaintness of it all😊 they had markets all over the city with the best fruit. We had homemade smoothies made in front of us, a burger, and fries at an outside patio restaurant for a total of 6 dollars!

The next day we woke up at the crack of dawn(4:50am) to catch our bus to Zadar. In Zadar we enjoyed laying out on the beach, walking through the old town, and sunset on the water. Zadar is famous for their sea organ that plays music based on the waves from th ocean. Then, at sunset they have this multiple colored floor that comes to life next to the ocean. Beautiful sunset and night!

The next day we took off to see krka national park! Known for the beautiful waterfalls I have been wanting to go since seeing pictures on Pinterest! We were told to take a bus to sibenik and from their from their transfer to the park. Turns out they didn’t have buses after 11 so we were out of luck stranded in the random Croatian town. Lucky taxis aren’t too expensive and we found some others in the same situation and we arrived! It was absolutely beautiful walking through the paths on the river and I took so many pictures! It was also not overrun by annoying tourists which was a nice change from Rome and the selfie stick sellers. After taking 5 buses and a taxi ride I understand the draw of doing organized tours but I guess I am too stubborn and wanted to do it myself haha. Now to attempt to get my homework done before our boat excursion to the islands tomorrow! Thanks for reading!
