Good times in Granada

Granada is the first of my solo adventures in between meeting up with friends and I was happily surprised by the number of new people I meet!

The first day I was slightly exhausted from the numerous days of walking miles everyday and took it easy and “only” walked 22,000 steps. Some of the highlights were:

Honestly just walking through the city and capturing the beauty! This was the last Muslim city in Spanish to be conquered and is evident in the Arabic influences.

I walked in on a church service in the cathedral in town and could feel the presence as I captured this video as the lights turned on!

(update video is slow on hostel wifi and can be uploaded later)
This is an awesome market in the city center

Although not my hostel, this was just gorgeous to take a picture of!

This is the street that my hostel was on! Called hostel makuto they had a treehouse and hammocks in the courtyard. My only complaint was being on the 4th bunk up with no AC in the heat lol but I survived and met a lot of great people here! I also found this empanada place that is to die for across the street.

Took a hike with my hostel at sunset up into the top of the city. Shoutout to the great people that I met along the way!

We went to these interesting cave houses. TBH was weird almost touring a slum but quite the cultural experience!

The new friends from the walking tour and I went for fabulous tapas and I love that we were able to split the dishes to top off the night!

I feel bad for not getting to the fabulous Alhambra palace that Granada is known for. Tickets sold out about 3 months ago and I wasn’t up for getting that 4:30am wake up call to maybe get tickets. Oh well I have gotten nice pictures from the outside! Hiking tomorrow in the mountains😊

Thanks for reading

❤️Mel
