Madrid

I really should try to get more creative with my post names, but oh well! In total we had 2 days in Madrid with a little bit of extra time since we had 2 days spent doing day trips from Madrid. Some of the activities included:

A Flamenco show💃🏻 traditional Spanish dancing with Becky was a fun way to spend our first night in town!

Lots of Tinto Vino and Tapas (this was our favorite place, but sadly we never figured out the name of it) I absolutely loved the sausage call chuzitos

We went to the botanical gardens, although it was kind of disappointing that most everything was past it’s bloom!

Next, I got to meet up with some friends from the U after Becky headed up to the Netherlands. We went up to Retiro Park and tried out the row boats.

We also tried out famous chocolate and churros place that my friend recommended. It was good, but not as sweet as I though it would be. I might have to try this out again in southern Spain.

We all had our matching backpacks as we took the metro out to the airbnb. Our host was almost an hour late so we decided to try out the selfie stick while waiting lol. We felt so bad that he asked us if we wanted anything and went out to get us chips, water, and coke!

We took a walk throughout the main attractions and got a few pictures along the way.

Next, we had more tapas, tried out some cervaza at Mcdonalds (actually not bad for only 2.50€ beer) and then experienced Spanish nightlife at Kapital!

We slept in late and the next morning I said my goodbyes as I headed off to Granada!

Thanks for reading
