Sevilla

Again with the clever names of my blog posts lol. I must say that I fell in love with Sevilla despite the 95 degree temperatures! I met awesome people, loved the Alcazar, took so many photos in front of the Plaza de España, and capped off the nights with fabulous tapas.

I will start with nothing other than the bus ride to Sevilla from Granada with the most beautiful views of sunflowers!🌻

The afternoon I arrived I mostly walked around the town and did one of the free walking tours from my hostel. It wasn’t the best tour, but I did learn a few things about the city. For example, Christopher Columbus sailed in 1492 which is the same year that Sevilla forced the Jews out that in turn helped pay for his voyage.

One of my favorite things in Sevilla was the Plaza de Espana which turned into a slight photoshoot just because of how beautiful it is!

When you teach your new friends the Melanie pose😝

Loved getting in the fountain but not sure it was worth the big bites after lol
I met up with the others in my room and went out for the most delicious tapas. One of them was even from Minnesota- I think the number of people from Minnesota I have met tally is around 8.

The Alcazar was a palace in Sevilla with the most beautiful gardens we took so many pictures! I loved the arcitecture and tiles throughout. This does make me slightly sad that I missed the Alhambra is Granada since I loved it so much.

The cathedral in Sevilla is fun fact the third largest in size! It used to be a mosque when Sevilla was ruled by the Muslims. I went up into the tower to overlook the city. The first picture is of Christopher Columbus’s tomb!

We went on an adventure after dinner to find churros, but sadly they were closed (don’t worry I got some the next day). We ended up watching the sunset in front of the Isabella bridge (and took loads of selfies along the way there!)

Our Hostel has free Sangria every night so of course we had to take advantage of it!

We went and walked to a market and the chocolate and churros place was open on the way!

Famous tourist modern art, not sure I understand the draw of the sculpture but oh well I saw it!

I keep saying the next town is my new favorite, and Sevilla is no exception! Next stop, Portugal!
