Finally in the mountains instead of seeing them from a distance! On my first day in Lucerne I walked around the town, climbed to the top of the tower to see the city, and took an obnoxious amount of pictures of the swans!

Swiss love to show off their flag. My friend claims it is for the tourists, but I love them none the less

I spent an embarrassing about of time here admiring the swans and taking pictures
The second day I got to meet up with an exchange student at Carlson and he showed me around! I got to eat breakfast with his family overlooking the lake just 15 minutes south of Lucerne. Then, we went hiking up in the mountain that we overlooked during breakfast!
Not featured in the pictures are the sounds of cowbells all the way up the mountain. I also love how everyone we passed said hello along the way! It just shows how polite the Swiss are.
Sometimes selfie sticks can be handy!
