One of my favorite parts of my trip is being able to meet up with my international friends and Milan was no exception!
My first day I went and took a day trip to Lake Como from Milan while my friend was working. I went the first time I went to Milan and loved it so decided to go back. This time I went to the actual city of como, whereas the first time I took the train into Varenna and went to Bellagio. All of the towns are gorgeous and it is crazy how big lake como is. sadly, I didn’t see George Clooney there😂
The next day I met up with my friends that studied in Minnesota this fall. It also happened to be my friends birthday! We got breakfast at a cafe at the business university then walked around Milan. It was crazy hot outside, but we went up to the duomo, arch, castle, and walked through town before settling in the shade of the park. We also grabbed lunch and I got to have my first pizza back in Italy!
Later that evening we went to a restaurant and were joined by about 15 others to celebrate my friends birthday with an aperativo. Aperativo works with you ordering a drink and then they have a buffet of food so you can basically eat dinner for the price of a fancy drink! All of the Bocconini students that studied at Minnesota in the fall were there so it was great to see them all!
