Ready for my next trip back to Europe! I have been working for a little over a year and I haven’t taken a big vacation yet so here we go. I started following Scott’s Cheap flights and found a $412 round trip ticket to Amsterdam from Chicago on a direct flight through United. You just can’t beat prices like that especially when you can get to anywhere in Europe from Amsterdam! Ryan and I have been dating for about 5 months at the start of this trip- so we will see how 10 days together goes 😉
We started the trip a little differently than I normally would be fancy lounge passes. We got drinks and some food as we eagerly awaited our flight. Ryan isn’t big on sleeping on planes, but don’t worry I will convince him to try out some Tylenol PM this time.
We landed around 9 am and then have a full day before flying out to Croatia in the morning tomorrow. We are staying at the airport hotel for ease of getting around and are taking the train with Ryan’s friend Erik directly from the airport to the small town of Leiden.
It was a beautiful day to walk around the canals, get to know Ryan’s best friend, eat some classic dutch food, and take it a little easy with the jet leg.
By the end of the day, I think we made it to about 8 pm before we finally crashed.
