Henningsvær Hosts

The next day we wandered around and explored Henningsvær which is the town that we were staying in!

Here is a picture of our little fishing village.

The drone view!

This part of norway is big on fishing do all over you see them hanging up the fish on these racks!

We started our day at the little local bakery for breakfast.

From there, we walked around town and drank some beer! We even went to a brewery for a tour of the entire process. We loved this local restaurant that had very hougie vibes.

The evening was the highlight where we got to experience local culture and the midnight sun. Being so far north you can only see the sun dip down, but it never truly gets dark. It was strange and throws off your sleep schedule (we got eye masks) but very cool to experience.

We went to Svan’s house which is in the traditional norway style that she converted and gutted from a 100 year old home. We met her family over a dinner and we were there for almost 5 hours as we had to see the true midnight sun. They even had there own private beach so we got to check that out too!

The kitchen was beautiful and I can’t imagine ever getting used to this view!

Our van looks a little out of place out here haha

Getting ready for dinner! It was a tad bit cold even though it was July.

Loved the cute pup running around the beach!

Trying reindeer!

We didn’t get back to our village until 2 in the morning but it was just as light as 2 in the afternoon. We slept in for our last day and backed up our backs for the airport before our journey home with a stopover in Amsterdam.
