So Beth and I have both been to Brussels before (see post waffles, fries, and beer oh my), but that is where our cheap flight was into so we figured we could spend some time eating before and after Vienna. There are some special places in my heart for Viennese cuisine, but Austrians aren’t so well known for their food compared to Belgium.

First up was trying some local chocolate, for free I might add! We learned of this factory shop about 30 minutes outside of town where the locals go to get chocolate and had to check it out. Plus, since it was rainy this seemed like a good inside activity.
On the tail end of our Brussels trip before heading back to the US we checked out this famous photo spot for a few pictures in between trying fries, beer, and waffles of course!

The lights around Brussels ( no Vienna, but still nice)

We also listened to the Christmas light show in city center with lights all around- it was pretty cool!
The Christmas markets in Brussels were quite disappointed after Vienna. As you can see here it is more like a carnival pick. Duck station than anything else!
