Tongue thai’ed for a good caption

Hello from Bangkok! It was a rough start coming in during the marathon at 2 am but we started our day with some amazing food at our favorite cafe called mango! Totally recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok.

Our amazing kombucha mocktails!

Ryan’s French toast, homemade Nutella, and fresh fruit! This was also a cat cafe so I loved the cat photos in the background.

We spent a good chunk of the day exploring one of the best and largest markets in Thailand. We didn’t take many photos, but did get some good shopping in 😊

For dinner we had the best fried rice! It is supposedly the best is thailand and I don’t disagree. I also had this coconut ice cream shaved ice for dinner that was to die for.

A quick picture of a temple that we walked by on the way back to our hotel from dinner.

Bangkok Day 2!

Our second day in Bangkok we decided to do a tour to get a little out of the city and see the floating markets.

The salt fields right next to the train station where we would pick up the train to the market. Our first real stop is a market where they put the food right on the train tracks and move it as soon as the train goes by. People are standing just feet from the train which is crazy!

Ryan peeking out the train ride!

One of the many markets of the day! It shows all of the bikes on the street and things you can buy in the street stalls.

A tight fit for the train!

Shows how they put the food right up to the train tracks before/after the train comes through!

Next, we took a boat ride to the main event of the day- the floating market!!

Coconut ice cream

When we got back from the tour the day was still young so we walked around Bangkok some more! The picture above shows some flowers from the flower market.

Stop the same day, we tried this amazing rooftop bar. We were 61 floors up in the middle of Bangkok with panoramic views of the city.

We took a tuk tuk to outback to our hotel with a quick stop by the mkho San road!

Trying alllll the local cuisine in Bangkok!

Bangkok was action packed and much better than expected. Some say that Bangkok is just another large Asian city, but I have to disagree with the food, views and culture. Next up, chaing mai!
