It is the EZ(e) life when you are on week 3 of vacation! We took a day trip to visit Eze in the mountains. It is a very small town far up in the mountains that is a classic for tourists. Overall, this was one of my favorite places we went because the tiny village had so much charm with a variety of things to do with a garden, hiking, and some shopping.
We could have taken the city bus, but it was double the time and only went once an hour so we decided to split an Uber. That’s the fun thing about having an adult job is you don’t have to do things the cheapest way like when I traveled in college!
When we first arrived we visited Fragonard, which is a famous perfumery. It was fun to walk through the factory and try a bunch of scents. We ended up buying something each so take a whiff next time you see us!
Next up, we walked through the cute town. It is very small so you can walk the entire thing in probably 10 minutes🤣 we took a bunch of pictures and looped through several times to take more time.
One of the highlights is for sure the garden called le jardin exotique. It had beautiful views over the water with so many interesting plants. There were lots of stairs winding through the top of Eze!
In the end, we decided to hike down to Eze Sur from being so high up. It was a decent trek down, but it was fun to see the views the entire way. It also made me extra appreciative that we got a taxi to the top in the morning.
We still had some time in the afternoon so we decided to check out Villefrache-sur-mer. We took the train two stops from Eze Sur and we were in the middle of another stunning village! We grabbed cocktails and some food and meandered through the cute village.
