Oh Portugal! Ryan and I had a great time visiting our friends in Lisbon for a weekend. After our travel struggles getting back from the US and being stuck in Germany in December I scan say we had a smooth travel experience for Portugal 🙂
We arrived Friday afternoon and hung out at my friend’s condo, walked around the neighborhood, and enjoyed dinner and wine together. So nice to catch up with great friends 😊 for those of you that don’t know, Miriam and I were roommates in college back in 2013 and today we are European travelers.
Saturday was action-packed! We started the morning walked around the old town. We went to the botanical garden, went to the top of the arch, and enjoyed the tile architecture and sunshine. We relaxed and had coffee at a cute place and then Korean for lunch. For dinner, we had Lisbon’s version of chipotle. Omg it was so good, we haven’t found an equivalent in Amsterdam yet. Miriam and I of course chatted for hours in the evening- reliving our roommate days!
Saturday evening in addition to the fabulous chipotle dupe we saw a beautiful sunset over the St George Castle.
On Sunday, we went to a cute place for brunch before heading to belem to see the tower and eat the classic Portuguese pastries! So good that tourists and locals alike can enjoy them.
