The best Thames in London

I was lucky enough to spend about 10 days in London! Ryan was there on a work trip and I was able to take advantage of having a paid for hotel in the middle of central London!

I was in London just a few months back in March with friends, but this time it was fun to spend time with Ryan and I also spent a lot of time doing my own thing while he worked a lot.

Shows!

One thing I am very jealous about for those living in London is the amazing access to a vast number of musicals and shows for so cheap! I saw Dear Evan Hansen, Come from Away, Pretty Woman, and Lion King. I am so lucky 🙂 My pro tips for seeing shows on the cheap in London is an App called “TodayTix” every day at 11am they put up tickets for all of the shows that aren’t sold out. For Disney shows such as Lion King and Frozen it is a slightly different process and the last minute bargain tickets go on sale on Monday at 1pm for the following week. Not to brag, but I was front row at Pretty Woman for only 30 quid. I highly recommend all of these shows and honestly you can’t go wrong seeing anything there! I went by myself to all but Come from Away which also made it easier since I only needed a ticket for 1.

Since I have been to London a few times, I don’t have the desire or need to go see the most touristy things (although some day I do need to see the Tower of London), but more to explore the different neighborhoods and wander while eating good food.

The first week a few of the highlights include hanging out with Ryan’s work friends from the US that we hadn’t seen in a long time, lunch breaks at the Brough market, the Sunday flower market, celebrating our 4th anniversary, and just wandering around the city.

One thing I did research on before coming to London was looking into all of the free viewpoints in London. I have to say that they didn’t disappoint! I checked out the Sky Garden and The Garden at 120. S/o to the girl that took a cab photo of me at Sky Garden💯

The next week we kept up the fun and did a lot of nice walks around central London. I got drinks with an old coworker at a speak easy and caught up with a friend from college. One of the highlights was going to several brewery’s that are built under these train tracks. Also, we got so lucky on the weather- it was beautiful!

My final weekend in London while Ryan was working I went to Camden market and got some class fish and chips and also wandered around Noting Hill and enjoyed the beautiful architecture.

That ended up being a bit of a monster post with so many photos, but I was there almost two weeks so I had lots to share! Stay tuned for more posts soon
