After spending time in Cappadocia we hopped on a flight to see the Turquoise Turkish coast! We first stayed in the beach town of Kas which is pronounced “cash.”
Our first day we spent going to the famous Kaputas beach which is hidden in the cliffs although arguably one of the most famous beaches in Turkey. Pro tip to get there before 10:30 if you want a chair as it gets quite busy!

By the afternoon we headed into Kas town as we were starving for lunch. We got some simple food around the water and then wandered through the town checking out some of the cute shops.

We headed back to our hotel to then chill by the pool the rest of the night!

Our next day we got up and went on a Kekova tour with is mostly a boat/ swimming tour! We did stop at a small town only accessible by boat and get local ice cream and climb up to the top of the castle. They are also famous for their fresh pomegranate juice. Super fun day!

Then, we headed to Marmaris which was Ryan’s most anticipated part of the trip to relax at a resort on the coast. Ryan is more of a relaxing vacation guy and I like to do activities so this is our compromise. My favorite part of the resort was the good food and a sunset boat ride we took our last night.

This is the last of the Turkey posts! It was such a fun trip and I highly recommend, especially for the hot air balloons. You don’t hear of too many Americans going to Turkey, but it is quite common for Europeans as a beach destination specifically. I think half our resort was British people.
As a logistics note for Americans that you do need a visa to visit which you can get online before you go or on arrival at the airport. It costs about $50.
Until our next trip!
