After our time in Florence we took the train up to Venice for a couple of days. The last time I was in Venice was 2015 with family so I was very excited to return. There is something so magical about Venice as it is unlike anywhere else in the world!
We stayed at the cutest vacation home rental just next to a canal. We spent out time in Venice wandering the canals, sipping on aperol Spritz, and of course taking a million pictures on my part.

I don’t have as many recommendations for Venice vs Florence. My suggestions are though to take it easy and build in lots of time to relax and wander and get lost in the canals.
I also don’t recommend getting pizza in Venice and being a bit more careful about the restaurants that you choose. First off, pizza in Venice is not well-known so the quality is absolutely nothing like Florence. Since I had been to Florence before I knew where to eat at and we had most of our meals planned out. For Venice though we didn’t plan as much in advance. We initally sat down on our first day at a random lunch place and then looked it up on Google Maps and it was a 1.9 review…. we ordered a drink and then left. Be careful where you eat as not everywhere is good!
Burano
This might be one of my favorite little towns in the entire world. I remember going here in 2015 and falling in love with it so it was on the top of my list to visit again! I will caution that the boats to visit where VERY busy. You typically take a boat from Venice-> Murano -> Burano. We waited about 20 minutes for the first boat and then we were wanted to go from Murano to Burano we waited about 45 minutes, but the line was giant. They do really squeeze people onto the boats, but be warned. I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time in Murano as Burano is a lot cuter.

Enjoy the pictures and until next time!
