I am guessing you know about the famous tulips of the Netherlands, but have you heard of the dahlias? They bloom in the fall and are also incredible to see in the Netherlands.
Seeing the dahlias has been on my list for many years, but September always is a busy time with visitors so this is the first year we made it work. Let me tell you, they were amazing!!
I found the place “I love dahlias” from reading a few blogs online and now they call me a regular 😅 Guilty as I did end up going 3 weeks in a row!
Basically, on Wednesdays from 7-9 you can go to this place’s show garden and for €15 pick as many dahlias as will fit in a bucket. What a steal! I took many pictures of how beautiful it was below. The staff were so friendly and it was a perfect after work activity. It does require renting a car, but very much worth it in my opinion.
I went 3 weeks in a row with additional stops to the keuhenhof castle the first week and the beach the third week as both are nearby.
Just another fun activity to do in the Netherlands. I love all the flowers and our life here ☺️
