After our time in the Duoro valley we headed South to spend time with friends that live in Lisbon. We had so much fun driving down with lots of stops along the way. I would also add how easy the driving is. In general Americans are very hesitant to rent a car abroad, but it was so easy even I could do it!
Our stops along the way include Aviero. I’ve heard great things about this Venice of Portugal, but sadly it had a ton of construction while we were there.
Nazare- we loved the fun color houses and watching the waves come in- it is very famous as a surf town!
Finally, Obidos. This was our favorite stop as the old town was gorgeous and it was fun to walk along the wall. We also had great timing in the evening as the day trippers were leaving and the sun was starting to set.
Next Stop-Lisbon!
