Like we were in Paris 🎶

Girls weekend! With lots of visitors in and out for September and October it was time for a girls weekend to Paris!

As long as you book in advance, it is quite nice being able to jump on the high speed train and be in Paris in about 3 hours from Amsterdam. I simply walked to the train station after work on Thursday and away we went!

I have only been to Paris once at was almost 10 years ago as a student so I was very eager to go back as an adult. I did all of the super major tourist spots last time so this time the plan is to wander, chat, and drink coffee and wine at all the terraces.

Our first stop was to grab coffee, wander to the effiel tower, and then stock up on France skincare at the largest pharmacy. Let me tell you, it was HUGE! And as an American I am used to huge stores 😂

After lots of googling we had so much fun buying all the “must have” items. For comparison, my favorite high quality face sunscreen was €12 and I think in the US it is like $45. Biafine, Le Roche posey duo, and A313 are the top recommendations if anyone has an upcoming trip to France!

We did lots of wandering, sat at the Luxembourg Gardens, and had coffee at the Petit Palais. The louve closed early for a security issue so it was a bonus to have no crowds in our photos!

We spent one day up in montemarte. We thankfully went early as it was packed for a food festival. We had coffee at this super cute cafe called Les 5 Marches and then got beers from a street guy and listened to some great live music on the stairs in front of the church.

Better vibes in Paris vs in 2015, but also being on an adult budget makes traveling more fun sometimes too. I will be back to Paris in 2024 for the Olympics which I’m sure will be a much different experience!
