We headed back to Amsterdam from our Christmas markets trip to spend time together relaxing and with friends.
For Christmas we celebrated with friends on the 24th and 26th and had a lovely day the 2 of us on the 25th. Reading, baking, eating, calling family at home and of course doing a puzzle.
Amsterdam is beautiful around the holidays with lights and decorations. Enjoy a few pictures from around town and the Amsterdam light festival! I hope everyone reading this got one of our handmade Amsterdam Christmas cards!
For NYE, it was a last minute decision to have friends over at our place. NYE is a big deal in the Netherlands with tons and tons of fireworks everywhere. We had fondue and then right at 11:30 walked to museumplein to see the big firework displays. Of course we rang in the New year in the rain and champagne.
A quiet holiday season this brought extra rest and relaxation. Although we missed being with family, I did not miss the stress of traveling, flights, and getting COVID/sick. Cheers to taking on 2024!
