Pronounced Buda-pesht

Budapest was an amazing start to my spring break catching up with my friend Viktoria! When she was an exchange student in Minnesota my senior year I never would have thought I would have the chance to visit her on the other side of the world but here I am!

We saw all of the classic Budapest sites including going to the castles, parliament, boat cruise, markets, cathedral, opera, and simply walking through the city.

One of my favorite things that we did was going to the thermal baths that Hungary is famous for. We went around to different pools both inside and outside just hanging out and chatting! I loved the bright yellow color of the spa and it was great to just relax! Kind of wish I would have taken more pictures here but I didn’t want my camera to get wet or anything it was just so beautiful!

Food in Budapest was fun trying both traditional goulash soup, a variety of cakes and desserts, and street food. My favorite was when we one day went to a bakery and order 4 pieces of cake to split between the two of us to try a bunch of variety! Dessert for lunch is always a good idea🍰

Random story is when I was walking down a street in Budapest I heard my name called. I figured it wasn’t anything since who would know my name in Budapest? Well turns out my friend from Carlson happened to be in Budapest at the same time as me on the same street! Crazy to run into someone that I know in a foreign country and it just proves how small the world really is!

So fun to catch up with Viktoria and see her and where she is from! Can’t wait for the rest of my travels during my month long spring break! So lucky to get to travel and see great friends along the way. Miss you all and thanks for reading!
