Hi and welcome to Smiles from Miles Away! My name is Melanie and I caught the travel bug! I started this blog in 2015 for my first international trip to study abroad in Vienna. Over the years, I kept blogging to share my various international adventures! Now, I am an expat in Amsterdam and arrived in March of 2021. I am excited to personally keep track of my trips, update family and friends and share planning tips and resources. I’m ready for the expat life!
